Billing and Refund Policy
How Planlark handles renewals, cancellations, trials, refunds, failed payments, and billing review.

1. Subscription billing
Paid Planlark subscriptions are billed in advance on the billing cycle selected at checkout, such as monthly or annual billing. Organization and school billing may be managed by a workspace owner or other billing owner.
Payment processing is handled through Stripe or another designated payment provider.
2. Trials and conversions
If a plan includes a trial, the subscription converts to paid at the end of the trial unless canceled before the trial period ends. Trial eligibility, duration, and availability may vary by plan.
3. Renewals, cancellations, and downgrades
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next renewal date.
- Cancellations generally take effect at the end of the current paid term unless otherwise required by law or stated in writing.
- Downgrades or seat reductions may apply at the next billing boundary rather than immediately.
4. Refunds
Except where required by law or agreed by Planlark in writing, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started.
Refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for duplicate charges, clear billing errors, or exceptional product-access issues. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible.
5. Failed payments and unpaid amounts
- If a renewal or invoice payment fails, Planlark may retry the charge, notify the billing owner, restrict certain paid entitlements, or move the subscription into a past-due state.
- Persistent non-payment may result in suspension or termination of paid features or account access.
6. Chargebacks and disputes
If a payment is disputed or charged back, Planlark may suspend the affected account or workspace while the matter is reviewed.
7. Taxes and invoices
Taxes, if applicable, may be added to charges depending on jurisdiction and customer status. Billing receipts, invoices, and related records may be available through account or owner billing controls.
